Methodist Team Members Earn Coveted Continuing Education Grants

Congratulations to Methodist Medical Center’s 2023 Silver Lamp honorees, Julianne Lyttle, RN, from the Family Birthing Center and Hiro Coffee, PT, with Methodist Therapy Services.  This $5,000 professional development grant is made possible through the Trinity Health Foundation of East Tennessee and is awarded each year to two deserving employees (up to $2,500/each) to cover the cost of an approved educational conference including expenses such as travel, materials and food.

With her award, Hiro will complete a 7-hour online course and attend a two-day seminar in Des Plains, IL, studying for the Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) Level 1 Certification in April 2024.  This training and certification will afford Hiro the opportunity to compliment her current skills and knowledge base and improve clinical outcomes when treating complicated orthopedic patients.

Julianne will attend four days of advanced learning at the Spinning Babies® Aware Practitioner Workshop in Houston, TX in March 2024.  This workshop will afford Julianne the opportunity to facilitate the labor process and help patients shorten their labor and avoid unnecessary interventions the compromise patient safety.

Being a Silver Lamp honoree is a symbol of the excellence healthcare professionals bring to their patients every day. Together, these two clinicians represent more than 35 years of experience with Methodist and Covenant Health, and we are incredibly proud to recognize both Hiro and Julianne with this distinction.
