June DAISY Award Winner – Melanie Brown

Our June DAISY Award was presented to critical care nurse Melanie Brown. Mel was nominated by a patient’s sister for the special care provided to her brother during his time in the ICU. Each day, Mel took the time to assure that the patient was comfortable and to answer all of his family’s questions. The patient’s sister felt comfortable leaving him in her care, knowing that Mel would be attentive to his needs. She says she “couldn’t have asked for a better nurse for (her) brother!” Congratulations, Mel!
