- About Us
Our latest winner of the Fort Sanders Regional FLAME award isn’t just one person but an extraordinary group of healthcare professionals. Our neurology team has received a FLAME award for going above and beyond to help not only our patients but their colleagues as well.
On a particularly busy day in the neuroscience unit, Samuel Moore, MD, along with Laurel Bivens, NP, Dina Miller, NP, and Christy Saunders decided to jump in to give a helping hand. While not normally a part of their duties, these four worked alongside nursing staff to help with bed baths, IV placements, lab draws and patient repositioning. The nominator for this award noted how much she appreciated the team coming together to provide the best care to our patients. “This was a touching show of teamwork, bridging the gap between nursing staff, midlevel staff and providers to ensure that every patient had the chance to receive excellent care.”
Thank you to each of our neurology team members for ensuring that even during a global pandemic, the Fort Family is ready to put patients first every day.
The FLAME Award was created by FSRMC’s Patient Family Partnership Council in 2018 to recognize our non-nurse employees who have gone above and beyond to improve the hospital experience for our patients and their family members. To nominate an extraordinary staff member, click here.
