Expansion Grand Opening at Covenant Health Therapy Center West Knoxville

Covenant Health Therapy Center – West Knoxville has expanded to better serve our growing community. After a significant expansion, the center now has the space, technology and resources to better serve the West Knoxville community. This project was made possible through significant philanthropic support, including nearly $900,000 from donors and the Patricia Neal Golf Classic.  

Already the busiest therapy center in the Covenant Health system, the West Knoxville location now offers a newly renovated environment that supports efficient, effective and patient-centered care.  

“This expansion has been a priority for several years,” said Matt Magee, director of Covenant Health therapy centers. “As West Knoxville has grown, so has the demand for therapy services. This upgrade gives our team the capacity and tools to serve our patients at the level they deserve.” 

The renovation added nearly 6,000 square feet of new treatment and functional training space.

Grand Re-Opening Celebration 

On February 26, 2026, the therapy center officially marked the completion of the expansion with a Grand Re-Opening Celebration. The event highlighted not only the physical transformation of the center, but also the collective generosity, teamwork and vision that brought the project to life. 

With additional space, the center has welcomed two new physical therapists and expanded both occupational and speech therapy services. The redesigned layout offers more room for functional exercise, movement-based training and one-on-one sessions. Patients now have improved access to advanced equipment and expert therapists.  

For staff, the changes are deeply motivating. 

“Our team is so grateful for this upgrade,” said Jennifer Civis, manager of the therapy center. “This expanded space gives us what we need to help people get stronger, safer and more confident in their daily lives.” 

She added heartfelt appreciation for the donors who helped make the expansion possible. “We want to thank Lucy Gregory and the supporters of the Patricia Neal Golf Classic,” Jennifer said. “Because of their generosity, our patients now have a better, brighter space where healing can happen.”
