August 2021 DAISY Award Winner – Chi Allen

Being in the hospital is stressful enough, but being in the hospital alone and hundreds of miles from home compounds that stress. Our August 2021 DAISY Award winner Chi Allen, RN in our surgical unit, knew her far-from-home patient needed some encouragement and company, so she took extra time out of her busy schedule to sit with her patient and keep her company. Sometimes that’s all it takes to truly impact a patient’s experience, and Chi’s patient clearly remembers her kindness. Thanks for all you do for your patients, Chi! We appreciate you.
