DAISY Award Winner: Destinee Gideon

Destinee Gideon, a Covenant Staffing Solutions (CSS) nurse working at Fort Sanders Regional, was awarded a DAISY award for her exceptional patient care. As a CSS nurse, Destinee is a part of Covenant’s internal float pool of nurses that travel to different facilities to assist with staffing. Destinee’s nominator, a family member of a patient, mentioned Destinee’s constant kindness and compassion toward the patient, saying that Destinee treated the patient as if she was caring for her own mother. Not only did Destinee provide the best care for her patient, she also cared for her patient’s family. She helped calm the family’s fears and answer questions about the patient’s condition. As her nominator said, “Fort Sanders/ Covenant is truly lucky to have such a wonderful soul working for them.” We couldn’t agree more! Congratulations and thank you, Destinee!
