Covenant Health Recognized for Great Neuroscience and Spine Programs

December 2025 – Covenant Health is pleased to announce its recognition on a national list of top neuroscience and spine programs in the country. It was named on Becker’s Hospital Review’s 2025 list of “100 Hospitals or Health Systems with Great Neuroscience and Spine Programs.” It is the second time the enterprise’s neuroscience and spine programs have been recognized by Becker’s.

Becker’s Hospital Review, a publication focusing on hospital business news for healthcare executives, notes that health systems featured on this list “are renowned for their exceptional patient outcomes, advanced surgical expertise and groundbreaking research discoveries.”
Covenant Health has the region’s only spine network with Spine Centers at Covenant Health Fort Sanders Regional, Covenant Health Methodist and Covenant Health Parkwest. Becker’s recognized the health system for “having skilled neurosurgeons and neurologists that specialize in treating complex spinal, neurological and neuromuscular conditions using advanced minimally invasive and robotic-assisted techniques that improve outcomes and recovery times.” Becker’s also acknowledged the enterprise’s unique neuroscience and spine care offerings, including the Covenant Health Proton Center, the Fort Sanders Regional Gamma Knife Center, Patricia Neal Rehabilitation Hospital and the region’s only epilepsy monitoring unit, as well as its use of telehealth technology to expand care across all its hospitals.
