Covenant Health Fort Sanders Regional Welcomes New Chief Nursing Officer

January 2026 – Covenant Health Fort Sanders Regional is pleased to welcome Cheryl Wild as its new chief nursing officer, effective Jan. 5, 2026. Wild will partner with the leadership team to advance facility goals and implement new initiatives. She joins the hospital from HCA Florida Palms West Hospital in Loxahatchee, Florida, where she served as the chief nursing officer for three years.

“I’m so excited to join Covenant Health. As chief nursing officer, my top priorities are to ensure safe, quality patient care and foster a healthy working environment to support exceptional patient experiences,” said Wild. “Being part of Covenant Health, a faith-based organization whose mission and values align so closely with mine, is meaningful to me. I look forward to working alongside our incredible leadership team and partnering with all of our clinical teams to serve this growing community.”
In her prior role, Wild was dedicated to clinical and operational excellence and strived to provide high-quality care, create positive patient experiences and increase employee engagement.

Wild is certified in Nurse Executive Practice from the American Organization for Nursing Leadership (AONL) and holds nursing licenses in Florida and New Jersey. She served on nursing advisory boards of several universities in Southwest Florida and was an adjunct professor at Florida Atlantic University’s School of Nursing. She is an active member of AONL and the American College of Healthcare Executives.
Wild earned her master’s degree in nursing leadership and health systems management from Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Trenton State College in Hillwood Lakes, New Jersey.
