Hamblen Primary Care Welcomes Georganna Starnes, MD

August 2025 – Covenant Health and Covenant Medical Group are pleased to welcome Georganna Starnes, MD, to Hamblen Primary Care. Her clinical interests include diabetes management, mental health and preventive care.

Dr. Starnes earned her medical degree from East Tennessee State University’s Quillen College of Medicine in Johnson City, Tennessee, where she also completed her family medicine residency. She earned her bachelor’s degree in biology from East Tennessee State University.

Dr. Starnes is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. She is a member of the Tennessee Academy of Family Physicians and the American Academy of Family Physicians.

When not at work, Dr. Starnes enjoys cooking, gardening, coaching youth sports, cheering for the University of Tennessee Volunteers, and being involved with her four children’s sports teams and school activities.

Dr. Starnes is accepting new patients.
