Covenant Health Urgent Care Opens New Northshore Location 

We’re excited to share that Covenant Health Urgent Care has officially opened its new Northshore location! This facility will make healthcare more accessible and affordable for many families in our community.  

On December 15, 2025, we celebrated this expansion alongside community leaders, team members and partners. With this new facility, we continue working toward our mission of improving the quality of life through better health.  

“Our goal is to make high-quality healthcare more accessible to the communities we serve,” said Jim VanderSteeg, president and CEO of Covenant Health. “Opening this new location allows us to meet patients where they are by offering timely, compassionate care.” 

Expanding Access to Care 

As we continue to grow our urgent care network, leaders emphasize the essential role these centers play in meeting community needs. Jon-David Deeson, executive vice president of physician enterprise and ambulatory services, notes that urgent care is a critical entry point into the Covenant Health system. 

“This urgent care center represents more than just convenient care. It ensures patients receive the right care, at the right time, in the right place,” Deeson explains. “For many individuals, urgent care is their first step into the Covenant Health network, connecting them to primary care, specialty services and hospital care when needed.” 

Partnership Focused on Patients 

Urgent Care Group, Covenant Health’s managing partner for urgent care services, supports the delivery of high-quality, accessible care across the region. Matt Kossman, CEO of Urgent Care Group, emphasizes the importance of this collaboration.

• South Knoxville: 7625 Chapman Highway, Suite 107, Knoxville 

Hours and Services 

All Covenant Health Urgent Care locations are open daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. We provide walk-in access to a wide range of services: 

• Onsite x-rays 

• Lab testing 

• Treatment for minor illnesses and injuries 

• Occupational health services 

We accept most major insurance plans and offer affordable self-pay options. For the most up-to-date insurance information, call your location.
