Last Friday Methodist Medical Center hosted a tailgate party to help kick start the hospital’s campaign for the United Way. Participants enjoyed lunch, played corn hole and had fun “hero” pictures taken all to support the great work of the United Way. Methodist’s patient transport department was the winner of corn hole competition and the department received a homemade chocolate espresso cake (with almond and vanilla buttercream icing)! The winner of the UT basket and $50 gift card was Natasha Webb with the Methodist Sleep Diagnostic Center.
Even though the outcome of the actual game may not have been what Tennessee fans had hoped, Methodist’s event was a definite win as it raised over $2,100 in cash and pledge forms! With several more weeks to go as we drive toward our goal, we are thankful for the generosity of our employees who help support the vital community resource that is the United Way.
