The Joint Commission

Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center is accredited by The Joint Commission, recognized nationwide as a symbol of quality that reflects an organization’s commitment to meeting certain performance standards and continued dedication to providing you with quality care.

Fort Sanders also holds the coveted Comprehensive Stroke Center certification – given to only a fraction of facilities under Joint Commission review.  Fort Sanders was just the second facility in our region to receive this honor – which recognizes those hospitals that have state-of-the-art infrastructure, staff and training to receive and treat patients with the most complex strokes.

Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center is a member of Covenant Health. Covenant Health is an integrated healthcare delivery system headquartered in Knoxville, Tennessee.
