Rebecca Gordon, LPN, Honored with DAISY Award

Rebecca Gordon, a nurse at Claiborne Health and Rehabilitation Center was honored with The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses. The award is part of the DAISY Foundation’s program to recognize those nurses who make a big difference in the lives of so many people. The DAISY award was established in 1999 by the family of a patient who had received extraordinary care and compassion from his nurses during his final days. Congratulations to Rebecca Gordon, an LPN from our nursing home for being honored with the DAISY award. Rebecca was nominated by four different co-workers who noticed and appreciated Rebecca’s resident care skills and willingness to help others and work as part of a team.

“Not only is Rebecca a great person, she takes her nursing very personally- not only does she have great compassion and sympathy for each resident but also to her co-workers. If anyone needs to be praised, it should be Rebecca.”

“I would like to thank Rebecca for everything she does for me. She works extra shifts and helps me on the floor a lot. Instead of telling me that someone needs something she will do it herself. She helps answer call lights, helps residents to bed and helps get them up in the morning. She really is an all-around sweet person, and doesn’t care to help do anything that needs completed. She is a wonderful nurse.”
