Methodist Therapy Services, an outpatient department of Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge, is pleased to welcome two new therapists to its multi-disciplinary team of pediatric therapists.
Beth Bostrom, OTR/L, joins Methodist Therapy as an occupational therapist in the pediatric therapy department. Bostrom is a graduate of Tennessee State University and has been an occupational therapist for 20 years. She has experience in acute, outpatient, home health and pediatric treatment.
“Working with children is my love and passion, especially kids with sensory disorders,” says Bostrom. “My goal is to help children overcome obstacles and thrive Bostrom has attended multiple trainings for pediatric-related issues and serves on the advisory board of ASK (Autism Site Knoxville).
She lives in Maryville with her three teenage children.
Amanda Witherspoon, PT, DPT, joins Methodist Therapy as a physical therapist in the pediatric therapy department. Witherspoon graduated from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in May of 2016 with a Doctor of Physical Therapy.
“Pediatrics is an area of physical therapy that I have always loved and wanted to be a part of,” said Witherspoon.
Witherspoon recently moved to the area from Jackson, Tenn.
