Luke Johnson joined Covenant Health in June 2016 as Executive Vice President of Physician Enterprise and Ambulatory Services. He has executive leadership responsibilities for Thompson Cancer Survival Center, ambulatory retail and urgent care services, physician engagement and alignment strategies, and Covenant Medical Group, along with all other employed physician enterprises.
Johnson previously served as Senior Vice President and division head of United Surgical Partners International, Inc., an ambulatory healthcare provider which owns and operates ambulatory surgery centers, urgent care centers and imaging centers which serves 9,000 physicians and partners with over 50 not-for-profit health systems nationwide. Prior to joining USPI, Johnson was executive director of Knoxville-based Tennessee Orthopaedic Clinics, where he directed the merger of four physician groups into one of the largest orthopedic groups in East Tennessee. Johnson earned a degree in business administration at Auburn University.
