Long Term Care Topic of special seminar

Sooner or later either you or a loved one will be in need of long term care. These three words cover a wide range of needs from legal to financial to evaluating insurance products and what is covered and not covered by Medicare. Most of us have more questions than answers as we want to know: What is needed with regard to long term care? What options are available? How does this work with other important planning such as having an updated will and durable powers of attorney for health and finances? Can I afford long term care? What happens if I don’t have any planning in place for long term care?

To answer these questions and more, the Methodist Medical Center Foundation will host a seminar on Wednesday, October 7 from 8:30-10:00 a.m. in the

Cheyenne Outpatient Center Conference Room, 944 Oak Ridge Turnpike.

A panel of experts will also share:

  • An update on the latest changes effective January 1 for Advantage plans in the State of Tennessee
  • What to know and ask when researching and evaluating long term care insurance
  • Legal and financial issues to be aware of with regard to long term care planning

This seminar will be presented by certified elder law attorney Monica Franklin, financial advisor John Holmes, and Kim Ward, an insurance educator from the East Tennessee Human Resource Agency (ETHRA).

Understanding the Ins and Outs of Long Term Care is an educational program of the Methodist Medical Center Foundation for the benefit of its friends and supporters. It is not intended to provide legal or financial advice. For this, see your personal legal or financial planning professional.

Registration is required and space is limited. Please call 865-541-4500 or 1-877-334-4500. (Specify your RSVP for the October 7 seminar at Methodist Medical Center.)
