Keith Altshuler, FACHE, is President and Chief Administrative Officer of Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center, a 541-bed tertiary referral center and the only hospital serving the growing area of downtown Knoxville.
Altshuler previously served as Senior Vice President of Covenant Health and President of Fortress Corporation. Joining what was then Fort Sanders Health System (one of the founding organizations of Covenant Health) in 1987, he served as President of Fort Sanders Enterprises, President and Chief Administrative Officer of Fort Sanders Loudon Medical Center, and Senior Vice President of Ambulatory Care Systems prior to becoming President of Fortress Corporation.
Altshuler has worked as a production manager at American Trans Tech (ATT), a management engineer at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida, and President of Methodist Medical Center’s Home Health Services. He is a licensed nursing home administrator and a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives. Altshuler has served as a Board Member of the Tennessee Hospital Association and the Better Business Bureau of East Tennessee. He holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial technology from Southern Illinois University and a master’s degree in business administration from Vanderbilt University.
