Please call 865-531-5210 to make a donation by phone.

The Thompson Cancer Survival Center Foundation was established in 1994 to provide ongoing support of the treatment efforts at the cancer center.  Since that time, hundreds of generous individuals, companies and others continue to give to the foundation in support of Thompson Cancer Survival Center (TCSC). These gifts ensure leading-edge cancer treatment, clinical trials and technology advancements as well as services such as early detection; education and direct patient support are available and accessible to all people throughout our region regardless of their ability to pay.

Governed by a volunteer board of directors, which is comprised of community and corporate leaders and physicians, the foundation supports TCSC’s mission by:

  • Soliciting monetary and in-kind contributions from individuals, corporations, and other foundations
  • Managing the investment of charitable donations
  • Acknowledging and cultivating donors
  • Organizing special events to support various funds and programs
  • Applying for grants from other foundations and/or corporations
  • Approving requests and distributing funds for health system programs and departments
  • Educating the community about the foundation and TCSC facilities and programs

Game On Against Cancer

Game On Against Cancer is a fundraising event benefiting the patients and families of Thompson Cancer Survival Center. Sponsorship opportunities are available from $250 to $5,000. Proceeds from Game On Against Cancer support patients and families receiving care at Thompson Cancer Survival Center. Thanks to your generosity, in the last 11 years the event has raised more than $715,000! In 2022 alone, Thompson distributed more than $66,000 to assist patients with housing, transportation, insurance, medication and medical supplies so they can continue receiving treatments.

Race Against Cancer

The Race Against Cancer is a walk and run that raises funds for the patients and families of Thompson Cancer Survival Center. Since its inception 29 years ago, the race has raised more than $7.4 million for cancer education and care in East Tennessee. Thanks to Race Against Cancer supporters and participants, thousands of medically underserved individuals have received life-saving screenings and cancer care. Most importantly proceeds raised by the race go to fight cancer within our local community.

As Thompson Cancer Survival Center continues to serve our community and the region, there are many opportunities for you to help strengthen our programs and services and make a difference in the fight against cancer.

Your donation can take many forms — from an outright gift of cash or real estate to a bequest. Depending on the type of gift you choose, you may reduce your taxes, increase your income, and/or protect your heirs while helping TCSC patients fight cancer. There are many ways to make your gift:

  • cash donations
  • pledges
  • payroll deductions (Covenant employees)
  • gifts of stock, real estate, or property
  • planned gifts (trusts, endowments, and wills)
  • gifts in honor or in memory of a loved one
  • sponsorship of special events – Game On Against Cancer and Race Against Cancer
  • volunteering your time or services to events and programs – Volunteer Opportunities
