FLAME Award Winners – Security Team

Security team receiving their FLAME awards

Third time’s the charm! Members of our security team have been nominated and chosen for the FLAME award for the third time. This time, Officers Josh Mayes and Elisha White, K-9 officer James Burkett and Lieutenant Jeff Hepler went above and beyond for a patient. This patient needed assistance from security with their belongings, and through that call the officer on the phone learned that the patient wanted to buy herself some flowers because she had been in the hospital for weeks and no one had sent her flowers. Our officers decided to pitch in together to buy the patient a beautiful bouquet from our hospital gift shop and bring it to her. They spoke with the patient to let her know that they care about her and that they hoped the flowers brought her happiness. Thank you for creating joy for that patient!

The FLAME Award was created by FSRMC’s Patient Family Partnership Council in 2018 to recognize our non-nurse employees who have gone above and beyond to improve the hospital experience for our patients and their family members. To nominate an extraordinary staff member, click here.
