- About Us
Congratulations to FLAME Award winner Crystal Mahabirsingh! Crystal works on our registration team and made a real impact on not just one but two patients with one act of kindness. Crystal’s nominator was a visitor in the registration area who witnessed Crystal’s actions to help an elderly couple from out of state. The couple had come to the hospital for treatment and were trying to figure out how they were going to get back to where they were staying in Knoxville. Crystal noticed their confusion and made an effort to assist them. She made several calls to local senior centers until she found the one the couple was staying at. Then, she arranged transportation for the couple to the senior center using her own money. Not only was the couple extremely grateful for her help, but Crystal’s actions clearly made an impact on others observing as well. Thank you for caring for our patients and for going above and beyond, Crystal!
The FLAME Award was created by FSRMC’s Patient Family Partnership Council in 2018 to recognize our non-nurse employees who have gone above and beyond to improve the hospital experience for our patients and their family members. To nominate an extraordinary staff member, click here.
