FLAME Award Winner – Chelsie Childress

Congratulations to FLAME Award winner Chelsie Childress! Chelsie is a patient care assistant on our oncology unit who went beyond the call of duty to care for her patient. The patient was confused and wandered outside the hospital. Chelsie followed the patient and decided to stay with her to try and convince her to come back inside. Eventually, Chelsie was able to get the patient back inside with the help of our security team. Thanks to Chelsie’s determination and dedication to her patient’s safety and care, the patient was able to return to the hospital to receive the care she needed. Thank you for going the extra mile (literally), Chelsie!
