COVID-19 Emergency Employee Assistance

This fund is available to assist full and part-time employees of Covenant Health and its wholly owned affiliates who face financial hardships as a result of being furloughed or having their hours reduced. Employees must be in good standing with Human Resources (no outstanding disciplinary action in previous six months), and must have completed their 90 day probationary period.

  • Full-time employees are eligible to request up to $800 each request; maximum of 2 requests over 4 months (April – July); applications must be 30 days apart.
  • Part-time and PRN employees with an average of 24 hours a week are eligible to request up to $400 each request; maximum of 2 requests over 4 months (April – July); applications must be 30 days apart.
  • PRN employees with an average of at least 12 hours per pay period for the last quarter are eligible to request up to $200 each request; maximum of 2 requests over 4 months (April – July); applications must be 30 days apart.

Note: Employees that have already received funds at the previous rate will automatically receive an additional payment for the difference. There is no need for employees to re-apply.

Any PRN application previously denied will be reviewed and if the eligibility criteria of 12 hours per pay period has been met the application will be re-processed. There is no need for PRN employees previously denied to re-apply.

Requests will be reviewed by a committee of senior leaders. The Office of Philanthropy will notify the applicant of the committee’s decision within five business days of receipt of application.
