COVID-19 testing is available at several Covenant Medical Group practice locations for established patients in Knoxville and other counties served by Covenant Health. Testing is also available for the general public at Knox County and other East Tennessee county health departments, as well as many retail pharmacy locations.
COVID-19 Diagnostic Testing Price Transparency
The cash price for COVID-19 diagnostic lab testing at Covenant Health facilities and clinics is $128 per test.
The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (also known as the CARES Act) requires that providers of COVID-19 diagnostic tests post the cash price of the tests on their websites during the public health emergency. Posting the cash price fulfills a statutory obligation and is not a recommendation that individuals be tested. If you have questions about whether you should be tested, contact your primary care provider.
Please note this is the cash price for COVID diagnostic testing. Insurance plans may cover such testing, and under the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA), plans are required to cover COVID-19 testing without imposing any cost-sharing requirements (including deductibles, copayments, and coinsurance), prior authorization, or other medical management requirements.
