Coping with emotional distress of cancer is topic of new support program

When fighting cancer, you are never alone. Method­ist Medical Center’s Cancer Resource Center and Cancer Support Community, have partnered to bring a se­ries of classes to support can­cer patients and caregivers.  It’s called Take on Cancer Together and the next program is right around the corner.

Next program is August 9

The August 9 program entitled “How Am I Sup­posed to Feel?” is open for reservations. Emotional distress with cancer is com­mon. Debra Sullivan, PhD, psychologist at CSC, talks about the signs of depression and anxiety, and how your thoughts and actions can help or hurt you.Coping with emotional distress is topic of August 9 program

“I want to help people focus on mak­ing more experiences good while making fewer experi­ences bad,” explained Sul­livan.
