Covenant Health will host a free “Cars and Coffee” car show with coffee and food trucks on Saturday, Nov. 16, from noon to 3 p.m. at the Fort Sanders West campus near the intersection of Kingston Pike and Pellissippi Parkway. The event will raise funds for the 2019 Greater Knoxville United Way campaign, and will be held in the parking lot at Fort Sanders West, 280 Fort Sanders West Blvd. It will feature vintage and custom cars from local owners and vehicles from local dealerships, along with coffee, food from local food truck vendors and baked goods.

Approximately 30-40 vehicles from local dealerships and private owners will be on display, including Ford Mustangs, a Ford GT, lifted trucks and jeeps, and motorcycles from Harley Davidson. Participating dealers include Cadillac of Knoxville, Jim Cogdill, Grayson BMW, Harley-Davidson of Knoxville, Mazda of Knoxville and Ted Russell. Knoxville Fire Department will have a fire truck on display and the Knoxville Police Department will have a black Huey helicopter land during the event.

COFFEE

Coffee and hot chocolate will be distributed free while supplies last. Participating food vendors include Big O’s Famous BBQ, Gypsy Kitchen, Penne For Your Thoughts and Ye Olde Steakhouse.

FOR A GOOD CAUSE

“Each year Covenant Health employees come up with creative ways to raise money for United Way campaigns in their respective communities,” said Gary Young, Covenant Health’s community outreach coordinator. “This is a collaborative effort by Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center and Parkwest Medical Center for our Knoxville area.”

The event is free to the public. Exhibitor fees, dealer sponsorships and a portion of the funds raised from food sales will be contributed to United Way of Greater Knoxville. Covenant Health also will sell “Cars & Coffee” t-shirts and baked goods for United Way.
