Hamblen Primary Care Welcomes David Nerness, MD
December 2025 – Covenant Health and Covenant Medical Group are pleased to welcome David Nerness, MD, to Hamblen Primary Care. He has worked with pediatric to geriatric patients for nearly 30 years to create effective treatment plans.
Dr. Nerness enjoys encouraging his patients to maintain an active lifestyle through regular health screenings, physical exercise and proper nutrition. He offers compassionate care and has received patient experience awards numerous times for being nationally ranked in the 99th percentile in patient experience surveys.
Dr. Nerness earned his medical degree from Lona Linda University’s School of Medicine in Loma Linda, California. He completed his residency at the Center for Family Medicine at Florida Hospital (now AdventHealth) in Orlando, Florida.
Dr. Nerness is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and holds a Complete Medical Home certification.
He is accepting new patients.
