Covenant Health Earns National Recognition for Spine and Neuroscience Programs

Covenant Health is pleased to announce its recognition on a national list of top spine and neuroscience programs in the country. It was one of 70 health care organizations named on Becker’s Hospital Review’s 2023 list of “70 Hospitals and Health Systems with Spine and Neuroscience Programs to Know.” Becker’s, a publication for healthcare industry leaders, names organizations to this list whose spine and neuroscience programs use the latest technology to lead to better patient outcomes.

Health care providers on this list have “leaders and top specialists in the field, robust research programs and innovative clinical trials” per Becker’s. Covenant Health has the region’s only spine network with Spine Centers at Fort Sanders Regional, Methodist and Parkwest Medical Centers which are also designated as BlueCross BlueShield Blue Centers of Distinction+ for Spine Surgery.

Covenant Health, which has nine acute-care hospitals, was recognized for being the only stroke network in East Tennessee and offering high-performing stroke care. Becker’s also noted Covenant Health’s high-quality neurological care and use of cutting-edge technologies and treatments. Covenant Health physicians use the latest technology and treatment methods for inpatient and outpatient surgeries, including minimally invasive techniques that result in faster recoveries, less postoperative pain and fewer complications.
