Grief Support Services

Grief is a journey that keeps moving. It takes time and support to process grief. Covenant Hospice offers special programs for adults, youth and children who have experienced significant loss.

What is Grief?

Greif is the natural reaction to loss, which often occurs as part of significant life changes, such as:

  • Loss of a loved one through death
  • Divorce
  • Job changes
  • Moving
  • Other significant life changes

Hospice Care

Hospice care and support is provided specifically to patients who are at the end of life’s journey. This care also extends to the patient’s family. The Covenant Hospice team provides care resources to the patient’s family for 13 months following the death of a patient.

Covenant Hospice also offers these specialized grief services for those who have lost a loved one.

Katerpillar Kids Camp

Katerpillar Kids Camp is a special weekend day camp for children grades K-12 who are grieving the death of someone they know. Through activities, group discussions, and individual counseling, the children are able to express their feelings of loss in a safe and understanding environment. The annual camp is a free community service provided by Covenant Hospice. For more information, please contact our Katerpillar Kids Camp director at 865-374-0864.
