William Rice, M.D., a family practitioner, recently joined the medical staff at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. He is affiliated with Premier Medical Associates in Oak Ridge.

Rice received his medical degree from the University of Kentucky at Lexington in 1977 and was board certified in family practice in 1980. He completed a family practice residency at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Corrington, Ky. in 1980. He is involved in the American Academy of Family Physicians.

Rice and his wife, Jeanie, live in West Knoxville. They have two children, Mollie, 19, and Daniel, 15.
