Rose Miller has been named informatics educator in the nursing department at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.

Miller is responsible for planning, coordinating and implementing user training for computerized hospital systems and standard desktop applications. She previously held positions as both an application support analyst and user support analyst with Covenant Health. Miller also served as the library services coordinator at Methodist from 1989 – 1995.

Miller, a native of Wheaton, Md., earned her bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, in 1988.

She and her husband, Robert L. Miller, a meteorologist at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, live in Oak Ridge. They have two daughters, Teresa, 22, and Stephanie, 20. Miller enjoys walking, hiking, gardening, reading and working with computers.
