Methodist Hospital Foundation will hold its fourth annual Heart Gala on March 18 at the Crown Court in the Oak Ridge Mall. Cocktails and hors d'oeuvres begin at 6 p.m., with dinner following at 7 p.m. Soul Sanction, a live band, will perform throughout the evening.
The theme for this year's dinner and dance is "When It's Iris Time in Tennessee," the proceeds generated will benefit the Methodist Medical Center Congestive Heart Failure Outpatient Program. Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) is currently one of the most common conditions requiring admission into the hospital and is among the prominent diagnoses for readmission.
The CHF Program focuses on education, monitoring and support of CHF patients and their families while at home. The goals of the program are to improve patients' symptoms to the best level possible, to reduce the need for frequent hospital admissions, and to improve the quality of life for patients and families. The program is offered to patients free of charge and also provides assistance with the cost of medications and necessary monitoring equipment, such as scales, for those who cannot afford them.
The CHF Outpatient Program is founded on the Medical Center's mission to provide the highest quality healthcare to people living in its five county region. Due to lack of reimbursement for preventative efforts, from both governmental and private insurance agencies, the CHF Outpatient Program is totally funded by charitable dollars.
Reservations are $100 per person with tables of eight persons for $800. Dress is black tie optional. If you would like to attend the gala, have questions about the event or would like to learn more about the CHF Outpatient Program, please contact the Methodist Hospital Foundation at (865) 481-1890.
