A bone-thinning disease called osteoporosis affects more than 25 million Americans. Most of them are women, and many don’t realize that they have a problem – until they break a bone.

Fortunately, bone density screenings can alert women to problems, often while they have time to do something about them.

The Women's Center will sponsor free bone density screenings at the LaFollette Community Clinic on Thursday, Jan. 20. The hours are 9 a.m. to 12 noon, and no appointment is necessary. The LaFollette Community Clinic is located in the Riggs Pharmacy building.
