Widowhood Will Be Focus Of Women's Center Program

Explore issues related to widowhood when Ellen Hitchcock, a licensed clinical social worker, presents a program sponsored by the Women's Center Wednesday, Feb. 18.

The brown bag lunch presentation begins at 12 noon in the main lobby of Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.

Hitchcock, who holds a master's degree in social work from the University of Alabama, will focus on several issues related to grief and loss. They include adjustments a widowed person must make, relationships, and effective coping strategies.

The guest speaker, an Oak Ridge resident, is involved in services for seniors at Methodist and is in private practice at Oak Ridge Counseling and Psychotherapy. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers.
