     If life were like the movies, then any person having a heart attack would experience the same tell-tale symptoms of immense chest pain. However, for many women, the signs of a heart attack can be very subtle; in fact, about a third of women experience no chest pain at all when having a heart attack.

Dr. Margaret Heins was com­peting in a tennis match at Fox Den Country Club last year when she experi­enced a tiny, but persistent pain in her chest.

“I thought it would go away,” said Heins, an extremely fit and active retired nurse, who also holds a doctoral degree in edu­cational psychology and served as the Director of the Ten­nessee Wesleyan College Fort Sanders Nursing program.
