The Covenant Platinum Award recognizes people over the age of 65 whose lives are currently characterized by vitality, involvement in a variety of activities, pursuit of new ventures during their senior years, and commitment to a full and meaningful life for people of all ages.
The five awards will be presented at the breakfast to individuals who, in their senior years, have achieved significant accomplishments in a diverse range of activities. These categories are community involvement and volunteerism, creativity and the arts, intergenerational relationships, health and fitness, and intellectual and academic pursuits.
Response to the first award has been exceptional. More than 100 nominations were received from people throughout East Tennessee who wanted to recognize extraordinary seniors who have touched their lives. Nominees included seniors who are living exceptionally full and meaningful lives through such activities as climbing Mt. LeConte and hiking regularly, volunteering for multiple causes, helping raise grandchildren, and teaching computer and other classes!
You are invited to join us in saluting the area's finest seniors with the Covenant Platinum Award! The cost is $10 per person. You can make your reservation by calling 541-4500.
