Community benefits from Covenant Behavioral Health
The area's leading mental healthcare providers came together in 1996 to better provide cost-effective and high-quality care to children, adolescents and adults. By taking a leadership role in the changing healthcare environment, Covenant Behavioral Health has created an organization that is committed to improving the health of the people and communities it serves.

With a combined total of 75 years of experience, the members of Covenant Behavioral Health continue to provide a wide array of learning opportunities and outreach programs to the communities it serves.

Support Groups, screenings and assessments, educational seminars, outreach programs, publications, and advocacy services are among the many benefits offered the community by Covenant Behavioral Health.

Each year, thousands of East Tennesseans are touched by at least one of these offerings - all of which are available at no cost to the public.

Here are a few of the upcoming events and programs sponsored by Covenant Behavioral Health:

Depression Screening - Thursday, October 9, 6:30 p.m., Parkwest Medical Center, Classrooms A & B
Clinical depression affects more that 18 million Americans each year. It is a disease, not a weakness of character. It can't be cured by willpower, but it is 100% treatable. Find out more at our free depression screening. Following an informative presentation, participants will have the opportunity for a confidential screening with behavioral health professionals. Overlook Center Blount Open House - Tuesday, October 14, 3:00 - 5:00 p.m., 683 Morganton Square Drive, Maryville
Providing service to Blount County for nearly 20 years, the Overlook Center Blount Clinic has recently relocated to better serve its clients. The community is invited to attend an open house to celebrate the clinic's relocation and new facility.

Eighth Annual Diamond Award Program - Tuesday, October 28, 7:00 p.m., Knoxville Hyatt Regency
Join us in recognizing the best and brightest mental health professionals. All Diamond Award finalists and nominees will be honored at this event, which is co-sponsored by the Mental Health Association of Greater Knoxville and Covenant Behavioral Health. For ticket information, call 584-9125.

Health Night on the Town - Tuesday, October 28, 7:00 p.m., Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge, main lobby
Diagnosing serious memory loss problems will be the topic of October's Health Night on the Town in Oak Ridge. The speaker will be William M. Hogan, MD, medical director of Methodist Medical Center's Behavioral Medicine unit. The program is free to the public and refreshments will be served. For more information, please call 481-1682.
