Health Watch: A New Source for Health Information
ore and more Americans than ever before are seeking credible sources of health information. Some are surfing the Internet, while others rely on newspapers and magazines for the latest on specific diseases and treatments. Fort Sanders Parkwest and Fort Sanders Regional Medical Centers are pleased to introduce a new source for health information: Fort Sanders Health Watch.
Fort Sanders Health Watch is a one-minute television spot, providing key information on a wide variety of health-related issues such as heart disease, nutrition, maternity care, exercise, and many more. Missy Kane, health promotion coordinator for Covenant Health, fitness expert, and former Olympic athlete, will be hosting the new Fort Sanders Health Watch.
Throughout the year, we'll turn the spotlight on other health topics, focusing on programs and treatments available in our community, not several states away. Some will apply to seniors, others to expectant mothers, and lots of topics in between. We will bring you the newest technologies and introduce you to the health care professionals who are making a difference in our region.
In August and September, we'll be featuring the topics of heart disease in women, tracheobronchial stents, endoscopic vein harvesting, and new technology for sinus surgeries.
Tune into Fort Sanders Health Watch on the television stations listed below each week. Call 673-FORT for additional information on our featured topics.
