Stroke Conference Features Leading Professionals and Treatments

Today a stroke does not spell automatic death or disability. Lifesaving treatments and prompt action can make a difference. Learn more about stroke prevention, detection, and treatment from leading national health care professionals at the fifth annual Stroke Conference sponsored by Patricia Neal Rehabilitation Center.

This all-day conference will be held at the downtown Knoxville Marriott on Friday, May 7. Separate sessions for health care professionals and the public will focus on the importance of early stroke treatment as well as various components of dealing with the aftermath of stoke. Marilyn M. Rymer, MD, medial director of the stroke program at Saint Luke’s Hospital in St. Louis, Mo., will be the featured speaker for both professional and public sessions.

CME and CEU credits will be awarded to qualified health care professionals. Pre-registration is required. For more information or to register call 541-4500.
