Pastoral Care Services Available

CHAPLAINS are available to help you with your spiritual needs and to assist your family. They may be contacted by calling 541-1111 or, if in Ft. Sanders Regional Medical Center, simply dialing Ext. 1235 or Ext. 1234. If there is an emergency, please call the operator and have the chaplain or the chaplain on-call paged. The Chaplain's office will be happy to notify your pastor, priest, rabbi or spiritual advisor of your hospital stay at your request.

THE FSRMC HOSPITAL CHAPEL, located on the Lobby level near the Clinch Ave. entrance and is open 24 hours a day for your use. The Chapel is a quiet place for those of all faiths as a place of personal retreat, or to meditate and pray. HOLY COMMUNION is available for every Christian. Contact the chaplain if you would like to be served.

PASTORAL VISITS by a FSRMC chaplain may be requested if for any reason your own minister, rabbi or priest may not be available. If you would like a representative from another religious group, such as the Islamic faith, we will be happy to forward your request. Call Ext. #1235 or #1234. If there is no answer, dial "O" and have the operator page the chaplain.

PASTORAL CARE PERSONNEL:

FSRMC Chaplain: Cecil Cook (Ext. 1235); Jeff Ryan (Ext. 1234)
On-Call Chaplains: Reggie Butler; Mary Ellen Bohm; Howard Moses; Bob Burch; Allison Turner; Tripp Kimbrough

RELIGIOUS LITERATURE should be found in your room. Every room is supplied with a Bible. If there is not one for your use, please bring that to the attention of one of the chaplains 541-1235. A limited assortment of religious books and other materials is also available in the Pastoral Care office. Please call Pastoral Care or let a chaplain know if you are interested in reading these materials.

COINS FROM THE FSRMC LOBBY FOUNTAIN are being used to add books, pamphlets and listening materials for all patients and staff. Additional contributions may be made in honor or in memory of a loved one are made through the FSRMC Foundations office. Call extension #1235 if you need more information...and thank you.

BE LISTENING EACH MORNING at 8:15, Monday through Friday, for a brief devotional thought to begin your day. FEEDBACK is appreciated and taken seriously. Please give us your opinion(s), in writing if possible, to the Patient Representative office, FSRMC. We're listening! ...and thank you!

"MEET ME AT THE WELL" is a 15-minute time of prayer, Monday through Friday, held at 11:30 a.m., for all employees, staff, patients and family members in the Chapel. "MMATW" is conducted by one of our chaplains. All are welcomed to participate.

PUBLIC WORSHIP EACH WEEK...Wednesday, 4:00p.m.; Sunday, 10:00a.m. All services are held on 4th Floor Pat Neal Recreation Room by the Blue Elevators.

THE CHAPLAINS ARE HERE FOR EMPLOYEES The Chaplains would like to stress the importance of employees taking care of themselves as well as their patients. We are here for you...just give us a call. If you have questions or would like to speak with either of the Chaplains, feel free to drop by our offices or call us on the phone. You will reach our voice mail if we are not in at that time, and our voice mail messages are updated regularly to provide callers with the best method to contact them quickly.
