Both may be purchased at the County Clerk's office. Call ahead (215-2385) to find out what paperwork you will need to get the title and tags. The Knox County Clerk is located in room 219, in the Old Courthouse Building at 300 Main Avenue in downtown Knoxville.
Any person not convicted of a felony may register to vote at age 18. The voter registration books close 29 days prior to the election so register to vote as soon as possible after moving to the city. The Knox County Election Commission handles voter registration in the city. New residents may register at the Election Commission office, at the driver's license stations, other government offices or by mail (mail forms are available at libraries and post offices.)
