'The Retreat' Parkwest Joint Center

The Hip (and Knee) Place to Be

Location: Riverstone Tower, 4th Floor
Phone: 373-4498

The Retreat
If your knees or hips are holding you back from the things you miss most, you will want to check in to Parkwest Medical Center's new Joint Center - The Retreat.

The facility provides patients the opportunity to make the most of their stay and benefit from amenities not typically associated with a hospital. The experience is designed and implemented to coincide with the Parkwest Medical Center motto of ensuring that patients are Treated Well. Well Treated.®. in a nurturing environment where patients can re-charge, renew and rejuvenate.

Since we work in small therapy groups, the Parkwest Joint Center is focused on you. You are not sick - you are well. You have received a new joint and we understand that it is important to return to an active lifestyle again…as soon as possible.

The center is located on the fourth floor of the Riverstone Tower and is spearheaded by the Joint Care Coordinator who can be contacted at (865) 373-4498.

Drs. Hal Cates and Paul Naylor are Co-Medical Directors of The Retreat. Together, they partner decades of expertise with new technology to provide you the best joint replacement outcome possible.

The Joint Center team includes patients, family, nurses, techs, physical therapists, occupational therapists, pharmacists, secretaries, case managers, administration, marketing, physician assistants, anesthesiologists, internists, surgeons and volunteers.

Your Experience
You will be introduced to the Parkwest Joint Center - The Retreat at an educational session where you learn what to expect during your stay. Patients are encouraged to have a Coach by their side who can be either a family member or friend. Family involvement and active participation by patients is encouraged.

Every step will be made to reduce discomfort through your recovery. Patients mingle in The Group Room where they receive group therapy, enjoy meals and socialize. After discharge, patients will receive an invitation to attend a lunch or dinner in celebration of their accomplishments.

The Joint Center includes stringent clinical standards of care that restore mobility to get you back to your active lifestyle.

Our Priority
The Parkwest Joint Center - The Retreat aims to deliver each patient an overall package of care and attention to ensure a quick recovery. Most patients stay in the center for three days. Returning to life and the things you enjoy most are our priority because we know it is yours.

For more information, call (865) 373-4498.
