The Fort Sanders Foundation designates these gifts for the area of greatest need.
Covenant HomeCare HOPE
Covenant HomeCare provides comprehensive home care services within 16 counties in East Tennessee. It offers a wide range of services for transitional or continued care because being in the comfortable surroundings of home often enhances a patient's well being and recovery.
Contributions to this fund provides assistance to patients in need.
Fellowship Center Fund
The Fellowship Center serves as a "home away from home" to more than 1,000 guests annually. The Center has 18 apartments for patients and families who have traveled long distances for treatment at Thompson Cancer Survival Center, Fort Sanders Regional, Patricia Neal Rehabilitation Center, and other Covenant Health facilities. The Fellowship Center provides lodging free of charge, and is totally sustained through the generosity of its guests and friends.
Contributions to this fund support programs, services, equipment, and staff for the Fellowship Center.
Fort Sanders Cardio-Pulmonary Wellness and Rehabilitation Fund
The Cardiopulmonary Wellness and Rehabilitation program at Fort Sanders is an outpatient program designed for patients (referred by their physicians) after hospitalization for heart or lung disease. Some patients have also recently undergone surgical procedures related to coronary and pulmonary problems. Teaching patients how to better manage their chronic health problems by making necessary lifestyle modifications is the goal of the program.
Your support of this fund helps to enhance programs, services, and equipment, as well as provide continuing staff education on cardio-pulmonary wellness and rehabilitation.
Fort Sanders Department of Nursing at Tennessee Wesleyan Scholarship Fund
Established in 1919, this program has transitioned from a diploma program to a full degree-granting program for both registered nurse and basic students.
This fund provides nursing and staff education through scholarships and other professional development programs.
Fort Sanders Diabetes Center Fund
Staffed with a multi-disciplinary team of Certified Diabetes Educators, Fort Sanders Diabetes Center helps patients develop lifelong diabetes management skills. Classes offered at the Center are designed to help individuals develop a personalized diabetes care plan and provide support and encouragement through interaction with a team of diabetes experts. The Center addresses not only immediate and long-term medical needs, but emotional and social concerns as well.
This fund supports programs, services, equipment, facilities, and staff education for the Fort Sanders Diabetes Center.
Fort Loudoun Medical Center General Fund
Fort Loudoun Medical Center is a 50-bed acute care hospital and physician-operated specialty clinic dedicated to providing the highest quality of health care services to the citizens of Loudon and surrounding counties.
This fund supports programs, services, equipment, facilities, and staff education needs.
Healing Hearts Fund
Healing Hearts is designed to provide support for all those who are impacted by the death of a baby by assisting with coping skills, offering spiritual and emotional support, and providing education and learning opportunities. It is led by childbirth nurses and is open to parents, families, and friends.
This fund provides programs, materials, and continuing education for Healing Hearts nurses.
The Hope Center Fund
Hope Center provides caring support and assistance to the newly-diagnosed HIV/AIDS patient who is learning to build coping and stress reduction skills. The Center also helps patients and families deal with traumatic events as they occur.
This fund supports programs, services, equipment, facilities, and staff education at The Hope Center.
The Hospice Fund
Hospice provides support and care for persons in the last phase of incurable disease so that they may live as fully and as comfortably as possible.
This fund supports programs, services, equipment, facilities, and staff development at Covenant Hospice.
The Jody Bailey Fund
Named after Josephine "Jody" T. Bailey, this fund assists patients facing difficult circumstances and meets emergency needs to provide clothing, transportation, food, and prescriptions.
Katerpillar Kids Camp Fund
Katerpillar Kids Camp is for children in grades K-12 who have experienced a death of a significant loved one. For one weekend out of the year, trained counselors and volunteers help children cope with their grief at Camp Ba-Yo-Ca in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains.
Contributions to Katerpillar Kids Camp allows children to attend the camp free of charge, and helps offset operating expenses.
Patricia Neal Rehabilitation Center General Fund
The Patricia Neal Rehabilitation Center is a 72-bed facility, nationally recognized for rehabilitation of stroke, spinal cord and traumatic brain injuries. It is named in honor of Academy award-winning actress Patricia Neal, a Knoxville native who overcame the disabling effects of three massive strokes to return to her acting career.
This fund supports programs, services, equipment, facilities, and staff development at the Patricia Neal Rehabilitation Center.
Patricia Neal Rehabilitation Center Young Hope Fund
This fund assists in providing durable medical equipment and services for indigent pediatric patients at the rehabilitation center.
Patricia Neal Rehabilitation Center Recreation Therapy Department Fund
Contributions to this fund supports programs, services, equipment, and staff development for recreation therapy at the rehabilitation center.
Peninsula, a division of Parkwest Medical Center, General Fund
The area's leading health care provider, Peninsula (a division of Parkwest Medical Center) provides inpatient and outpatient programs, and offers a range of services designed to support successful and fulfilling recoveries by patients and their families.
This fund supports programs, services, equipment, facilities, staff education, and emergency assistance.
