Give More Than a Gift This Holiday Season!
Make a holiday donation of $25 to Thompson Cancer Survival Center Foundation
to honor a loved one, friend, or associate, and a live poinsettia will be placed on TCSC’s poinsettia Tribute Trees. The trees are located at Thompson Cancer Survival Center-Downtown
in Knoxville and at TCSC-Sevierville
on the campus of LeConte Medical Center
Your honoree will be notified with a beautiful holiday card and acknowledged at the base of the tree. But your gift does not end there. Your donation also will help patients in need through the Thompson Cares Fund. Cancer patients in financial crisis can access these funds to help them meet basic living needs while they receive treatment.
“The poinsettia Tribute Trees are a visible way to honor or memorialize friends and loved ones, which is especially meaningful this time of year. Even more, they are an opportunity to touch cancer patients’ lives in a very personal way,” said Sharon Mullens, director of development at Thompson Cancer Survival Center Foundation.
“Donations help patients who are struggling financially because of their disease. The money assists with expenses related to housing, transportation, insurance, medication, gasoline vouchers and more,” she said.
Mullens added that during Christmas week the poinsettias are given to cancer patients to take home and enjoy. To make a poinsettia tribute, call (865) 541-1227 or visit tcscfoundation.org
