    Volunteer Opportunities


    In 2010 approximately 970 volunteers donated over 237,295 hours of service to Covenant Health’s hospitals and facilities throughout the East Tennessee region! Our volunteers are priceless, and we couldn’t provide the excellent care we do without their service!

    How can I become a volunteer within Covenant Health?

    Fort Loudoun Medical Center: Those interested can call the Volunteer office at 865.271.6055.

    Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center: Applications available by calling 541.1249. More information about volunteering at Fort Sanders Regional, including an application for download, is available at www.fsregional.com.

    Covenant HomeCare/Hospice:
    Application is available by calling 865.374.0864. You can also visit our website, and complete an application online, or download for completion.

    LeConte Medical Center: Applications are available at the front desk of the Medical Center, or by calling 865.446.8405. Applications are also available for download at www.lecontemedicalcenter.com/volunteer.

    Methodist Medical Center: Applications are available by calling 865.835.4170 or in the Volunteer Office between 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Visit our Volunteer page at www.mmcoakridge.com/volunteers for more information.

    Morristown Hamblen: Applications are available in the JBC Gift Shop or by calling 423.522.4886. You can also download the application here.  

    Parkwest Medical Center: Applications are available by calling 865.373.1556. You can also e-mail us here or download an application from our website.

    Roane Medical Center: Interested candidates can call 865-882-4232 or visit http://www.roanemedical.com/rmc/volunteer for an application.

    Thompson Cancer Survival Center: Applications available by request calling 865.541.1872 or by e-mailing us here.

    Who accepts Teen/Junior Volunteers?

    Donating time providing community service serves as a right of passage for many teenagers. Whether service learning is required as part of school curriculum or teens are interested in a career in the medical field, volunteering at one of Covenant Health’s hospitals or other facilities can provide a wonderful learning experience for teens!

    There are multiple opportunities for teenagers to volunteer within Covenant Health facilities. Although the age ranges vary slightly from facility to facility, the following accept applications for Junior/Teen volunteers (check with individual facilities for their specific criteria and application deadlines):

    • Covenant HomeCare/Hospice (West Knoxville): 14-18 years old
    • Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center (Downtown Knoxville): 14 – 18 years old
    • LeConte Medical Center (Sevierville): 14 – 17 years old
    • Methodist Medical Center (Oak Ridge): Must have completed the 8th grade
    • Morristown Hamblen (Morristown): 14 – 18 years old
    • Parkwest Medical Center (West Knoxville): 15 – 17 years old and must have completed 1 year of high school
    • Thompson Cancer Survival Center (Downtown Knoxville): 14 – 18 years old
